Andre has been studying and performing music for most of his life. Initially starting with piano, he later picked up the alto saxophone and guitar (he played the alto sax in his middle and high school music programs, as well as the Humber Youth Jazz Program), and eventually decided to focus on playing guitar professionally.

 

Andre studied Music Performance and Technology at the famed MetalWorks Institute in Mississauga, Ontario. After graduating his two-year program in early 2014, Andre has been very active in the Ontario music scene, playing with various artists and bands such as: Sacha Visage, Shawnee, Shantaia, Ty Baynton, Nicole Rayy, Jessica Sole, Owen Barney, Alessia Cohle, Bree Taylor, Karli June, Rob Fitzgerald, Kris Barclay, Jerry Sereda, Josh Taerk, the Stars of Pop Tribute (part of Continental Entertainment) and Julian Troiano, to name a few. Additionally, playing with these artists and bands has allowed Andre to play such venues and festivals as Boots & Hearts Music Festival, Cavendish Beach Music Festival, Manitoulin Country Festival, The RAM Rodeo Circuit, The KEE to Bala, the CNE, and many more.

 

Not limiting himself musically, Andre has studied and played in a variety of musical genres, such as country, blues, rock, jazz, pop, funk, and R&B. He continues to enjoy the musician’s never-ending learning and development process, as he strives to become a top-level touring/session musician and songwriter.
